Alright so here's
the situation... during the week things are pretty slow and full of service!!
But then when the weekend comes around things pick up and stuff happens!!!
So during the week
we went to an orchard for some service again and raked up a ton of branches so
that was fun but not really what I wanted to talk about this week. What I want
to talk about is what went on over the weekend... so I'll start with Thursday.
On Thursday we went
over to our investigators home with our district leader and he interviewed them
and found them worthy to enter into the waters of baptism. It was so cool to see them progress to this
point and I'm not gonna lie I was a bit worried about the word of wisdom
because they love their coffee but everything was ok!! It went perfectly!!
So now let's fast
forward to Saturday, the day of the baptism. It was a really awesome baptism. It's cool because they lived in another area
around Kalispell then moved down here to Bigfork. So at the baptism they had members from both wards
that loved them that were able to attend. It was so awesome because we had lots of
missionaries attend as well and you could really feel the spirit as the meeting
went on and it was so amazing to watch them be baptized by that proper
priesthood authority that was restored through the prophet Joseph smith. These two are truly converted to the gospel. They love it with all their heart and they are
going to be amazing members of the church.
Alright so I've
talked a little bit about this but as converts are baptized instead of being
confirmed right then and there after the baptism they are confirmed the next
Sunday. Well they asked Elder Anderson
and myself to do that for them... I've never confirmed someone before and given
them the Holy Ghost and so this was a first for me. But the spirit that I felt as I bestowed the
gift of the Holy Ghost onto someone else is indescribable. I was giving someone a member of the godhead
as a constant companion. That's not
something that can be described with words.
After that our
recent convert received the priesthood last Sunday, so this week he was able to
prepare and bless the sacrament and it was awesome being able to watch him do
it. The past little bit I have felt so
blessed to be a part of these people's lives.
It has been a wonderfully humbling experience to help them come unto
Christ like they have. Any missionary
could have been sent here but the Lord decided to put me here and I'm so
grateful for it and for everything I've been able to learn. This gospel is simple but so amazing. I love it so much!!
