From one State to Another

10/16/2017
Well this week has been a hoot and a half and it feels like it’s flown by.  So on Tuesday we had a sweet lesson with Chelsea and she's doing awesome!  Super excited for baptism!  Then that night we had institute with all the young single adults in the area and it was super sweet.  We talked about the beginning with Adam and Eve then towards the end the guy formerly known as Elder Christiansen comes in!!!  Haha, that surprised me so much!  Probably the last person I expected to see but it was so cool.

Then on Wednesday we had our district meeting and it was super sweet learned a lot and got to know each other a bit better.  That night we taught Sarrah and it was awesome!!!  We taught her about prophets and their roles in our lives and it was a pretty good lesson.  Definitely felt the spirit a lot.

On Thursday we did some service at the local library and this place is freaking crazy!!  It looks like it’s a small castle and its awesome!!  But we helped them with their firefighter day so all the kids saw the truck and it was sweet!!  It was funny how much they were freaking out, haha.  All the kids got to sit in the driver’s seat and I thought they might explode through pure excitement!  Then we had dinner with our Bishop and shared a video with him about the Book of Mormon and he's like you should go over to Ethan's house and share that with him!  So we did and it was awesome!!  I love Ethan he's a recent convert to the church and strong as can be in his testimony of the gospel.  He's awesome!!

Then on Friday we did some service at this thrift shop in town and helped out a lot of the ladies who work there and it was awesome because as most people know I love thrift stores. Elder Jacklin picked up this picture of a white tiger that he thought was the coolest thing ever and he’s like in love with white tigers.
Sometimes you're closer than you think
to the people you love. Had to take a pic for
my brother Carter.

So we did that and then we went up to Butte because I left some stuff there that I kind of needed.  So we went up to Butte and got the stuff and then found a few funny road signs to take pictures with.  Then we went down to Dillon and had dinner with the member family that hosts us here in Dillon.  So that was sweet to get to know them a bit better than just our neighbors.

Saturday we decided that would be our Lima day so we went down there and visited a few people and drove a few more miles to the Idaho border, so now I can say I’ve been to 2 of the 3 borders in my mission haha.

After that we went back to Dillon and went to dinner then tried contacting a few people that I hadn’t met yet and then we had a meeting with our ward mission leader and went over what was happening in the area.

Then Sunday both Elder Jacklin and I were speaking with a recently returned missionary.  So it was kind of weird to be talking at a missionary homecoming but it was good.  Elder Jacklin did really good.  I accidentally started jumping all over my notes and it was rough haha.

After church we had a lesson with Sarrah and it was super good and we had a really cool experience!!  So we were teaching about tithing and fasting and before the lesson I kind of got the thought to have Elder Jacklin lead out this lesson.  So I asked him if he wanted to and he's like yeah sure so we go into this lesson and he leads out like a champ!!  We transitioned really well and utilized the members and it was awesome!!  There's something special when you can feel the spirit work through everyone in the room.  Afterward we talked a bit more and decided that we all wanted to fast and pray for her on a specific day.  It was just really cool and I think it showed to her that we care for her so much.  It was awesome.

Then today we didn't really have any plans, so we chilled and got all our stuff done and then hit golf balls off a cliff lol.  It was a blast haha.  Anyway love you guys!! Talk to you next week!!

Love,
